Friday Make-Up Post

Due to the weather, Emily and Tim decided to move up their wedding and get married in Indianapolis on Friday, March 7th. The ceremony was great, I think it went just as the happy couple wanted! Then they headed off for their honeymoon, and I headed off on my big trip.

Big delays on 65 south in Southern Indiana, and once we crossed into Kentucky, the roads were so snow-covered that you couldn't tell where one lane ended and another began. I'm still not sure how many lanes I-65 has between Louisville and Nashville, TN. Passed a ton of slide-offs on my way down, but luckily managed to avoid joining them! Stopped in Elizabethtown for a short break, and then back on the road.

Once I got into Tennessee, which was sometime after 9pm at this point, there were nearly white-out conditions until I reached Nashville. Even the semi's were playing it safe. I was grateful for my 4-wheel drive!

Now after a long hotel search in the Nashville area, I'm getting ready to head to bed and get up early for a long day of driving. It sure has been an eventful day!

Hey E!

Sounds like you are having an eventful trip. You've almost inspired me to do something similar on my road trip across the US, through Canada, and up into Alaska. May have to post it later though. Really don't even want to see a computer on my trip! haha!

Keep up the great notes and pics. Have fun! And like I always say, ride safe. . . until someone cool is watching and then go BIG!!!! :)

Take care E!
